Headless Cross

My dad, who thinks he knows everything about the local area, never knew this existed: the 'Headless Cross' of Airth. It's the remains of an ancient cross, which marked the limit of religious owned land at old or high Airth many centuries ago.

A large housing estate surround the cross, which isn't a cross any more, as it is 'headless'.
