Cool stuff

This lamp was hand made by a local person, and is in my neighbor's apartment. It's all made of wood, and you can swivel the shade section up or down.

Notice that the "dolls" are dressed skeletons, which are called catrinas During the time of the Day of the Dead there are many of these, often life-size, in many areas of cities. Three years ago, when I lived in Guadalajara, they lined one of the main thoroughfares of the city and also surrounded an enormous plaza. All were dressed in different differently, some with a message.
