Imparting Wisdom

Octavio Suárez has devoted his life to the study and collection of orchids in Oaxaca. Well over 1000 species of orchids are indigenous to Oaxaca, and he has collected more than 700 of them. Today I visited this wonderful orchid place, where he first spoke about characteristics and habitats of orchids (and much more), and then I wandered through cool forest paths lined with hanging pieces of wood that provided the proper living/growing conditions for all these orchids. I learned and enjoyed so much - it was incredible.
