Birdcage

The Birdcage pub on Pottergate in Norwich used to be pretty rough but in recent times has had a bit of a makeover and is now a really nice hangout where, in addition to a good selection of beer and wine, you can get cupcakes, cookies, cakes, tea, coffee and also get a takeout from the lovely Grosvenor Fish Bar across the way.

Which is what we did this evening, catching up with two young friends of ours who we haven't seen in ages.

The Birdcage also offers music nights, quiz nights, stand-up comedy nights and - would you believe - life drawing classes!

Thankfully this evening was nice and quiet, as it's been a pretty stressful 24 hours. So stressful that I didn't sleep at all well last night and came home early from work.

Tomorrow is a new day. I just hate being constantly on a white-knuckle financial rollercoaster.
