What an absolutely superb day
Up and out early today to take the car in fora service. Then walked home using footpaths alongside the River Len and through Mote Park. The crisp late autumn sunshine was sublime, lifting wisps of mist off the river and lake. This shot was taken alongside the River Len between Mote Park and the town centre. We've only just discovered this footpath and it makes the walk home much more pleasurable than along the road.
Spent a couple of hours in the garden, pruning, clipping and raking in the sunshine. Left the ivy though which was in the sun for several hours, it is a mass of flowers and was covered with thousands of insects from the humble fly to wasps (yes, in mid November) and bees of many varieties. A real revelation and a spectacular sight.
A further walk back into to town to collect the car was followed by a session at the gym. Another great day. Going for an MRI scan on my knee tomorrow. That will be an experience. Despite all the walking, excerises and physio, it still refuses to behave like the other knee I possess.
