House Sparrow

We have some wood, on the picnic bench in the back garden, that is covered by a groundsheet, to stop it getting wet. As a result, little pools form that the birds use for drinking water. This little soul had just had a drink, when I took my blip from inside the house. I also saw Chaffinches drinking, and elsewhere on the bird feeders, Blue and Great Tits, Gold Finches, Green Finches, a Robin, Blackbirds, a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Wood Pigeon and Magpies. We are so lucky to get such variety, when we live in the centre of town.
