Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

ESCALLONIA

It wasn't particularly good planning on my part to follow an intensive two day training session with a full day of teaching, but before I felt the pressure really begin to bite I enjoyed a wee walk round the garden. Even on a grey, drippy, cold November morning, there is always an astonishing supply of colour when I take the time to look. As well as this wee shrub which has self seeded throughout the garden, there are glossy red ornamental crabs, lonerica japonica halliana which is always in flower every month of the year, cotoneaster, pearly everlasting and then all the winter greens. We will be muting them till March - if the slugs don't finish them off first.
