Martyrdom

I was reading about different Christian martyrs today and the various stories of how some of the apostles were martyred for their belief in and proclamation of Jesus Christ. I discovered that the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrate feast days for their saints and that today is the feast day of St Phillip, one of Jesus' disciples and later recognised as an apostle. There are various explanations of his death but it is generally believed that he was crucified for his faith in Jesus Christ.
