Ridge field

We now have two fields close to us which are free of sheep and cows, very handy for dog walks when it is raining or time is short!
This field has had cattle in it for months, so it was good to be able to let Russet run in it again, and to admire the autumn colours.
We call it the Ridge Field, and the ridges are very difficult to show in a photograph! They are remnants of a medieval method of farming, and remain today, even after hundreds of years of use !
