A new challenge!

I'm a bassoonist by trade, although I dabble in all the other woodwind instruments too. At school, we are about to put on the musical 'Grease' with a student cast and a student-supplemented-with-a-few-staff -to-keep-everything-from-going-pear-shaped band. Fortunately I teach several talented woodwind students who can cope admirably with the music but we were short of an instrument or two. Enter the EWI (electronic wind instrument). Basically it can be pretty much anything you want it to be, and so far it is taking on bass guitar, jazz guitar and piccolo parts for the show. We open in less than a fortnight, so I'd better get practising!
