NERVOUS NELLIE
This female red-bellied woodpecker moved from place to place so quickly I had a difficult time focusing the camera on her – seems it would make her nervous darting around so constantly. Lucky for me she stayed at the suet feeder a few seconds longer so I could get this shot. It was another busy day of yard work – with so much activity & noise, the birds pretty much stayed away. This shot was taken early this morning, so I was glad to have my blip for today all tucked away and ready to go.
Although it’s ‘Squirrel Blip Friday’, I had posted several squirrels lately, so I put today’s shot on Flickr. This baby squirrel is about three-fourths as big as an adult now, but not nearly as fat. He has quite a bit of eating yet to do before winter sets in.
