National Carriage Driving Championships - Windsor

Had a day off being Mum today and went to support Alan today (top left) competing in the pony pairs. What a lovely day. Clear skies all day, warm and lots to see. Plenty of photos taken here are a few.

This is the Obstacle phase of the Marathon. The drivers have to negotiate approx 6 gates in each obstacle which have to be taken in a set order. Penatly points are given for every second in the obstacle so the objective is to get in an out as quickly as possible. Prior to this the horses/ponies have been out negotiating the countryside on set timed routes so they are also quite tired when they get to the obstacles.
