Carl Wark

I've had a great day out walking with pal Helen on Stanage Edge today. Tony had his annual meeting in Hathersage so we hitched a lift with him and planned our route over coffee and toasted fruit bread before heading up the valley to the gritstone edge. The weather improved as the day progressed and we had wonderful views as we walked west along the top to Stanage End and then back to the eastern end where we had lunch amongst the rocks before descending to Higger Tor and from thence to the Iron Age hill fort of Carl Wark.
