" BRIGHT LIGHTS IN THE CITY "

Well its certainly been a busy day. We were late setting off to Bath this morning and it took longer to get there due to Carnival arrangments around Glastonbury. So by the time we arrived at my youngest son's house, dropped off a chest of drawers we were delivering, and got to Bath town it was heaving!!

The car park we had planned to use was closed - ah..... So we joined the rest of the traffic and went round in circles until we found another car park. After jostling and waiting we eventually managed to find a space in the bowels of the earth.
We enjoyed an amazing lunch in a superb bistro/pub who very kindly allowed us to take Phoebe in, and she was brilliant. As we have never encouraged her to beg for our food she is no problem.

We were heading for a specific shop, went to where we thought it was, but it had moved. Eventually, with the use of modern telephone systems, found it.
After spending a great deal of money, we headed down to M&S then back to the car. As you can see in the photo, the Christmas lights are twinkling, turned on this week by their very own, now famous, Mary Berry, of cake fame. You can see Bath is quite an affluent place and there was an amazing expectant buzz in the air. If you look closely, in the middle of the crowd, you can just make out Phoebe following Mr A. David and Kezia were ahead of them. After we came out of M&S, David was feeling a bit puffed, as he's just getting over 'flu. He suddenly said "Dad, Phoebe has just peed on your shoe".
She hadn't quite, but bless her she was so desperate, not having peed for over 6 hours and as there is no grass around, she looked at us expecting to be told off. Of course we weren't, far from it. But the look on her face was so funny. We praised her and she got a treat when back in the car.
Because of the Carnival in Wells/Glastonbury, we had to detour so were later getting back.

It was great to see them both, and now wont see them until Boxing Day.
Hope you have all enjoyed your day, whatever you were doing.
Sunday looming - be happy, tell someone you love them. It just might make them very happy!! Until we 'speak' again - wishing you all love and good health - xx
