A sunflower called Owen.....

.......I was a little jaded this morning after staying up late with a bottle of wine to watch Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week and the SD and Imp debate unfurl on Blip......I'm so sad at the way it's gone.

I'd promised to pop over to Lamancha (Peebleshire, not España) to help my sister create a website for her new business venture. After the usual Sunday morning faffing, we drove through Midlothian and watched with dismay as the car temperature gauge dropped 4 degrees. However, the sun wasn't far away and after some Java we chatted in the afternoon sun until Druncle Craig arrived home from his fishing trip, unfortunately with a broken rod....you should have seen the size of the one that got away!!

On the way home to Embra, we dropped into to see Grandma and Grandpa Scobes at Kirkhill Towers to collect home grown pommes and pommes de terre from their walled garden. Owen visited his Sunflowers which he grew from seeds on our windowsill before they were transferred to the garden of his grandparents.

A lovely weekend of late summer weather and interesting diversions, but somehow tainted by the unfortunate and very public falling out between some smashing people on this site.
