Force 6, gusting Force 7...

.....the bright clear sky belied the exciting sea conditions down in Newhaven this evening. It's weather like this which permits the harbour wall to show it's worth, as the body of water in the harbour moved up and down in a broad range, but foam from the angry breaking waves outside the walls was blown into streaks along the wind direction. Very dramatic and hinting at the terriying destructive force of the sea, with the sea walls looking a little less steadfast.

Good day at work dented slightly by the news that I've got to travel to London again for two days this week. I'm not seeing much of a break from client visits in London at present.

I stopped off on the pleasent walk home through the old town for a sample of the excellent Orkney Porter which has just gone on-tap in The Bow Bar. At 9%, it's a meal but a half pint or two will make for a lovely after work treat tomorrow.

That's Monday over.
