Farewell to the Falklands

I am just back in the internet world after my trip to South Georgia and the Falklands. This will be the first of many back blips, posted in a somewhat random order.

Today I finally set sail for South Georgia leaving at 18:30 on the Akademik Sergei Vavilov. As we headed east in calm waters the Falklands receded into a beautiful sunset.
