The Bannockburn
In his book "A Cambusbarron Tapestry " Peter Paterson informs that the Bannockburn is only called this once it is below the old ford at Wester Craigend. This shot is taken from that point ..what you see is the Bannockburn, while behind is Limestale Burn the stream's name as it flows down from North Third. Sadly there is no longer a ford - although traces of it can be seen- and it has been replaced with a rather ugly flat concrete bridge.
