Despite the best efforts of ScotRail I managed to get to Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall just in time to experience the magnificent and very moving Britten's War Requiem.

The RSNO and full chorus were just remarkable, it's a stark and complicated piece but they made us give of ourselves in great waves.

The Scotsman review is more erudite and understanding of it than i could ever be, but wow nonetheless.

So pleased to be able to see friends I don't spend enough time with, and so very proud of one of them who directed the chorus
