Undercliff Walk
It seemed like a good idea at the time. In light sprinkling rain with the right clothes on, some of these Blue Mountains walking tracks can assume a magic quality all their own. There is a special kind of isolated silence in such conditions.
I hadn't reckoned on this particular track having become so wet and slippery by now although I OUGHT to have done so. I actually turned back soon after this, lest I fall over and injure myself.
This is near Wentworth Falls and (as the name implies) is a trail which takes one under a series of ferny, rocky overhangs. All very magical .... just a bit dicey here and there for the present.
