Blue Mountains Icons 21

Please inspect LARGE.

It's been a while since we've taken a look at the views. After yesterday's peek at the disappointing Cultural Centre I thought we should all take a refreshing walk, breathe in some nice fresh air and find a way to feel better about things.

Today's icon is the Prince Henry Walk. This is a long track which follows the top of the Blue Mountains Ridge. It can be divided into several stages. This shot was taken along the Prince Henry route about midway between the eastern terminus of Scenic World's Skyway and Echo Point.

Sadly, over the years, many visitors have carved little messages into the sandstone at this point. Some of the inscriptions go back several generations, enjoy some degree of protection and will be left to wear out naturally. Those visitors placing new markings or graffiti of any kind face heavy fines however.
