Moonlit Metal

#kelpiemonday (whole screen's worth of them now).

Hanging around in the dark and freezing cold for tonight's Kelpie shot, chatting to strangers that it turned out I knew in a one-degree-of-separation kind of way (friend of another blipper on here).

Starting to struggle for new angles/new twists on the shots down around the Kelpies now though. So I didn't bother this time. Set up near the official viewing platform and waited for the moon to line up with the southern Kelpie's eye socket. Helped having the road sweeper making it's way around the construction site too, flashing its orange lights as it passed through the long exposure.

Nice surprise coming home to find that last week's entry in the series was this week's Calumet Shot of the Week. Chuffed with that.

After seeing all of the great still shots that are appearing of these behemoths all over the place, it was great to see a pretty unique short movie of them appearing over the weekend. Seriously. Watch it.
