Waterfoot Sunrise

Last Shades of Autumn

Despite the cold weather and snow on the hills, it was a good day for working outside. I had arranged the church work party for this morning and 7 hardy souls turned up to help clear up the fallen (and very wet) leaves and clean out the drains and gutters.

When I got home at lunchtime the sun was still managing to break through the thin cloud and illuminate the river in front of the house. I had intended blipping the snow on the peaks of Arran, but was attracted to a few remaining autumn colours that were reflecting on the still water at high tide. I thought the yellow boat helped finish off the scene. Farewell Autumn!
