A Birthday Present Delivers!

My oldest grand-daughter asked for chickens for her birthday that was in late April. Her parents gave her four, they have names, and live in a chicken coop built by her father. She loves eggs and has been waiting patiently for the hens to start laying. Well, the first egg was laid in mid-October and for quite a while it was only one every other day or so...but TODAY, there were three as pictured here. We've been lucky enough to sample the wares, and it's true "there's nothing like a fresh laid egg".
Another busy day today with no time for my usual bird blip. However, thought you may enjoy the story along with the birthday present that just keeps on giving...
