Soft landing

Wouldn't ordinarily blip a photo of a dove, as they are in numerous quantities under the feeder, on top of the feeder, and all around the feeder. A relative of a pigeon and as common. But this one caught my eye as it took a break from eating and landed on the soft cushion of snow on top of the deck railing. It's feathers were all puffed up to keep warm and cozy. Perhaps the snow added some extra insulation. At any rate, I thought it cute....hope you do too!
As you can see, we did get some snow off and on during the day and more is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. It is the season....Happy weekend to you all!
