Paws for thought

I may have used this title before but I couldn't think of a better one. Apart from a walk first thing (when the dogs got covered in orange sandy mud which resulted in a bath) and a trip to the post office* this afternoon I've been having a domestic day. Housework, paperwork, blah blah blah. Wherever I am in the house Basil likes to be in the same room and when I'm working at my desk he sits on the sofa (as pictured) giving me moral support. Polly, on the other hand, tends to recline on the bottom stair, just outside the study door. Creatures of habit, they are.
