Irresistable

While out raking yesterday I found a small volunteer in my garden. A little plant that wasn't planted by me but which adds to a garden. Today I was going to go out and make it my blip. I took the photo and it is lovely and perfect. But this one is better. Where my little volunteer is there is no sunlight and there won't be as the sun no longer gets high enough in the sky to illuminate that part of the garden. Yesterday the frost remained almost all day there.

Those of us that live in the northlands crave daylight and especially sunlight on these bitter wintry days. We need it so that we don't become bears who sleep through the dim days. Who when awakened out of our dreamings growl and grump at the disturbance rather than take joy in the company of friends. So my blip today is one of light. I couldn't resist.
