Schoolwork

We had Orla's schoolwork home over the weekend. Her literacy and numeracy jotters and her writing folder. The writing folder was full of total gems but this is a good example. Note the fictional big brother and his massive pile of rocks that he is throwing at Orla's head. I saw this when we are at the literacy workshop at the school. I asked her why she had made up the big brother; "I couldn't think of a time when I was angry, so I just made something up." Actually, I think it was just more fun to imagine this fictional, overtly violent, older sibling.
