This morning I woke up in a really good mood, literally with a smile on my face, and I'm not quite sure why. I felt a sudden urge to list all of the things that are good in my life, things that I'm thankful for. Firstly, I thought about how thankful I am to have such a warm and comfortable bed (that was an obvious one, I do love my bed), to live in a big apartment that always makes me smile, and to have a job that I love and that gives me so much freedom. As I hit Snooze for the 6th time I even thought about how lucky I am to have the ability to hear my alarm go off. And I realised how thankful I was to be getting out of bed to go for a long walk along the coast with a great friend on a beautifully crisp winter's day :)





PS: I wasn't sure whether it was more usual to say 'winter day' or 'winter's day' so I googled it. If you fancy a laugh (and aren't easily shocked), google 'winters day' and click on the Urban Dictionary link which should be near the top. Honestly, what a funny old world we live in, you learn something new every day!! :)

It's almost as good as the time I was looking for ideas for a brightly coloured themed birthday party and googled "rainbow party" - now there was an eye-opener!
