Man Made Comets.
The City Observatory at dusk - a long contrail still catches the rays of the set Sun above the majestic silhouette of the old telescope dome.
It's been so cold that vapour trails have been criss-crossing the sky all day, like temporary comets arcing high above Edinburgh, spanning the great circle of the horizon.
