Still gardening
The forecast was right and it was a lovely day. I collected my altered red coat, went for a swim and then came home to complete today's tasks.
And this meant being in the garden all afternoon. It wasn't cold and when the sun was about it was lovely. I planted my 7 Cocker's roses - 3 HT, a floribunda and 3 climbers. One was free - don't know which one. I planted the roses and some more bulbs and thinned out a few perennials and then put the garden to bed for the winter. I can't believe that I am still gardening so late in the year. I don't remember being able to do this before, even in T et G. The viburnum is flowering again and the pale pink is very pretty against the chartreuse green of the spurge.
Tools away the next task was to try on all the new clothes and decide which I will keep and which I will return, somewhere along the way I've lost my waist. Will it return?
And now I'm with The Doctor, 50 years on.
