Darkness

Took a trip to the pier at Ayr Harbour tonight with Mrs F, managed to get a few shots and spoke to a father and son who were out teaching each other photography skills. I was quite impressed when the son got dad to model for him.

Mrs F had headed back to the car at this point. Unknown to me Mrs F had struck up a conversation with a couple from London. They were up looking at a house with a view to immigrating to Scotland in the New Year. I got chatting to them as well and we started talking about photography and the local area.

Then for no particular reason I decided to prop the camera on the sea wall, with a lens hood and fag packet to support the lens, and took this shot in what was almost complete darkness. Think it turned out not too bad.
