Capable Crow

I put out some dry bread on the back yard fence this morning, and the crows soon found it.

This one tried to fit three pieces in its beak at one time, but quickly learned that all three would fall out and be lost in the wild blackberry brambles, while being less greedy would bring greater success. A lesson for humans as well!

(I've spent most of the day working on photo books for our grandchildren, and consequently am behind with comments. I'll catch up in the next few days!)
