Frosty November
A stunning day - one of my favourite of the year. It was a beautiful frosty morning and we were up at dawn to have a short walk over the moor.
It was beautiful and crisp and clean and clear. Clouds making wispy shapes, mist rising from the frost as it dissipated, warmed by the rising sun, shades of green and white in dips in the landscape.
Indeed it was a morning to walk around with an inane grin on your face for no other reason than to be outside and part of it.
More from the moor here - it was a difficult choice of what to blip!
Back to the village as the Farmers Market had just opened - a brief foray for a further visit later.
As we explored later I had an Angus Beef and horseradish pie in one hand and a sweet sweet cup of hot mulled wine in the other. I filled my bag with blue cheese and Serrano Ham from Spain, Feta and Spinach Sourdough bread, chutneys from the WI, most of which didn't last the day :o)
And later I caught up on a bit of sleep - yes it was a very good day!
