Groundhog sick day
Woke up in the middle of the night to a familiar feeling. Aches, pains, shivers...I say familiar as it is exactly the same way I have felt twice already this month. My mind was in denial at first, I couldn't possibly be ill again could I? The answer is yes.
Woke up to an upset stomach and a flu symptoms. The bug is back. Audrey obviously has it too. She went back to nursery for two days last week and has brought this home already.
Was pretty down as a result. Angus had to sleep in from his night shift so I just lay on the sofa whilst Audrey played. Then I'm ashamed to say I put her down for a nap when she probably didn't need one just so that I could go back to bed.
Angus took over for a few hours before work when he saw the state I was in. I was dreading having to look after her the last few hours of the day but she was good as gold. It was as though she knew I was ill. We watched a Bug's Life and then did a slow shuffle in the pram around the block to kill an hour before bedtime.
Got her back on the banana and toast diet (no milk) to get her stomach sorted. She was clearly hungry before bed which made me feel so guilty. I haven't eaten either today.
We are a sorry pair (again)...
Opened an early Christmas present from my friend Lucy. This winter candle, perfect for days like today :)
