Sickbed/visitors

Audrey seemed much better today so took her to nursery. I needed the break. I went back to bed and slept until lunchtime.

Seemed to do me the world of good and felt able to do some work from under the duvet come the afternoon. Not a great work day, all told though.

Had a surprise call from the In laws who were shopping at the Trafford Centre this afternoon asking if they could pop over. They had forgotten Audrey was at nursery but we all went and picked her up together and they stayed until Angus got home (see pic of us all watching Peppa Pig).

Angus has been working some ridiculous hours this past week. 4pm-3am last Wednesday, 3pm-4am last Thursday, 8am-4am Friday, 5pm-4am Saturday, no day off as was supposed to have Sunday a 4pm-1am shift instead followed by a 6am start and home at 7pm tonight. Tell me, by anyone's standards, is that not totally ridiculous!? He has hardly slept and is understandably exhausted and irritable. We now have a few days off together, I suspect he'll just sleep!!!! The restaurant and bar industry is hard on family life :(
