Scotland's Future

Today marked the publication of the White Paper to make the case for Scotland's independence. It was a bit exciting at the day job (us civil servants don't get out much). I almost blipped a copy of the document - 670 pages long and it weighs a tonne.

Instead you get a photo of my colleague (on mat leave) and her new son, only two months old. He's such a contented baby and he probably represents Scotland's Future better than any document. Plus, he's got a hoodie with ears!

Quiet night in, reading Panel papers for tomorrow and having hot toddies - feeling a little under the weather so taking precautions - purely medicinal...
