Camino de Santiago Day 27

We left León. Walking out of the city everyone i met was cheerful and smiling, wishing me "buen camino!"

Tonight's lodging couldn't have been more different to the parador. Metal framed bunk beds in a bare room but at €6 for a bed for the night i had no complaints. The village of Villar de Mazarife was a lovely quiet location with this fascinating looking house.

I sat outside a bar, in the warm sun, eating an ice cream and tried to have a conversation with a fellow pilgrim. He spoke no english. I speak no Italian. Both of us spoke a little Spanish so we didn't get very far!
