November Honey
After a grey and grotty start to the day the sun came out in short spells and it is milder here than recent days but I was still surprised to see several bees around the mahonia flowers. On closer inspection I saw a bumble bee, hoverfly, wasp and this honey bee all feeding on the newly opened flowers, they must be made of tough stuff because it has been pretty cold of late. It occurred to me that if they hung around until next week, how amazing it would be to get a photo of a bee in the garden in December!!
