Late Autumn Colour

This Silver Birch is just inside our grounds at work. It's not far from the berries I photographed that looked like fingers coming over the wall! The colour still looks good this late and on such a dull murky day. There are lots of Birches planted around the school grounds, but most have now lost the majority of their leaves. There are many different species of Birch and there is a large collection of them to be found growing at Wakehurst Place.
