Strong and Weak

These trees are in a place that gets fierce winds. The conifers grow tall and strong, but the deciduous trees are often spindly or misshapen.

There was no wind today. The sky was mostly blue and the sunshine was warm. The air was so fresh that I stood still for a while breathing deeply just to appreciate it. A few birds twittered and overhead a lark sang. There I was on a sealed public road for about twenty minutes and in that time I didn't see or hear anyone. Such peace.
