Munich underground: 17/100 Friedenheimer Straße

In contrast to yesterday's above-ground underground station at Freimann, today's station is of the genuinely subterranean sort again. Friedenheimer Straße underground station was opened in 1988 and serves a mostly residential area. Design-wise it is mostly identical with its western neighbour and terminus of the U5 line Laimer Platz, with the exception that there were no pillars necessary at Friedenheimer Straße.

Today I've decided against a photo of a completely empty station (which I would have, though) and have gone with a more lively one. So what you see is a U5 train arriving at the station, with a number of ghosts on the platform. If you are interested, the train is one of the newer C series trains.
