Orange Tailfeathers

Anna helped me color this turkey this morning. For 35 Thanksgivings, the Minneapolis Star/Tribune has had a drawing of a turkey in the paper for kids to color. An interesting article in the paper today said that the same man has drawn all 35 turkeys and each one is different. This is a coloring contest where kids color the turkey and mail it in to the newspaper office. We colored this one with a special emphasis on orange..
We were treated to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner by our friends Joyce and Gary. They are the best cooks! Their daughter and future son-in-law are home from Arizona for the week. Had a nice afternoon playing Taboo and watching the old movie National Velvet.
