IT'S FREEZING OUT HERE!

This little black squirrel was busy running about this morning – probably trying to stay warm more than anything. It’s interesting that the black squirrels don’t have tails as long as the brown squirrels have. The browns can cover their entire back up over their head with a thick fluffy blanket of a tail. This guy came up short for a tail to provide warmth. It was around 20 degrees f. (12 below freezing) when I took this picture, and not a ray of sunshine all day long. I spent most of the day getting ready for company and fixing Thanksgiving dinner, so I was happy to have this little guy stop by early to fulfill my blip needs for the day. He enjoyed plenty of peanuts for his Thanksgiving dinner.
