Islands in the stream...

I have been getting quite sedentary lately and so have made an effort to have a good walk every day this week. I find an urban walk can be as interesting if not as picturesque as a walk in the country. Today I noticed that the Cart has a couple of "islands" in it as it makes its way past the Abbey and the Town Hall. Ok it's not Paris with its two islands but it does provide a habitat for the swans and the occasional heron.
