Early light of dawn

I was awoken by the birds. A tremendous cawing of rook and jackdaw. I have no idea what they were celebrating but they gave me a chance to enjoy the sunrise. I love the changes in the early light of dawn: first a tiny sliver of crimson on the horizon then, a growing suffusion of pinks and golds reaching for the zenith. Then the drain of colour leaving you wondering whether it was all there or not. Enjoy it while it lasts.
