Poppy

it's almost December, I spotted this straggler in my garden. This is not a macro shot just cropped in.

I haven't mentioned this previously but I had been having issues with the paint rubbing off the top plate of my Fuji X-E1, I'd had some fairly poor service from the company who weren't responding to emails, then said it would be fixed and returned, then asked for a large sum of money to fix it. I was fuming so I decided to post some updates on their twitter feed with the assistance of someone I know who is a copywriter we fired off a couple of well aimed tweets, lo and behold I get an answer almost straight away and a promise that a manager will be in touch at the beginning of next week.

I had started to sell all of my Fuji gear as a protest, in fact most of it has gone and I have bought a DSLR however after seeing the above image it's hard to part with it. I have used a 40 mm Voigtlander lens which is really very sharp, it's taken at f4 as the camera won't read the aperture as it's a manual lens.

The motto, never underestimate the power of social media. I'll let you know how it goes.
