Humdrum, via City Center

All the bus numbers below 31 are the old tram routes.

The no. 14 was the tram to Rathmines, but they changed the route to carry on around through Rathgar, Ballinteer and on to meet the new trams at Humdrum...

The big advance is the via City Center bit. All the buses used to stop in the city centre, meaning...

a) Most of the Liffey quayside was a massive bus park.
b) You had to trudge long distances in the rain between buses to go to de Nor' Soide

all so the drivers could a nice chat and a smoke with their mates between the occasional bit of actual driving!
