......the remains of the day........

Terrible nights sleep last night....awake about every two hours......for about 40 minutes at a time.

Out to get the bait for tomorrow......back home........Boss in from night shift and off to bed.......daughter out Christmas shopping.

Marked some books....decided to watch some sport....fell asleep about 1.00 p.m.....woke up....the Boss was out in Manchester for a leaving do...the daughter was back home..........it was 4.00 p.m.

Just managed to catch this sunset....more marking....the rest of the evening has just drifted away from me....watched The Life of Pi....still don't get it.

Now I'm wide awake......and I have to be up at 6.30 tomorrow morning!

Just remembered a tale I should have told you yesterday.............was teaching a class of 16 year olds about gravitational field strength, mass, weight and falling under gravity. Had just explained that the Moon is roughly 1/6 Earth gravity....... a pupil asked "If you were on the moon...and you kicked a football straight up....would it carry on out into space for ever?" ...........replied by explaining that the Moon's gravity would bring the ball back down....a pause....and then a chorus from 3 pupils........"You mean that Wallace and Gromit told us lies in a Grand Day Out?"..............I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!
