'The Funny Face BM'

A hottie today, temps reaching up into the low 30's.

This morning we went down to our local Mitre 10 hardware store and bought ourselves a living Christmas tree in a pot, one that we can use (hopefully) for many years to come without having to dispose of it every January. It seems such a shame to cut down a tree to use for a month and them throw it out. After Christmas we'll put the pot out so that it can grow outside.

I aslo went to get a haircut today after lunch, then returned home and took the kids out for a walk around the back block to show them where I found the echidna yesterday. Dylan bought along his little whistling Vortex ball which has a tail feather like a dart has, and when you throw it, it whistles through the air. He's getting pretty good at tossing that thing, particularly if he has a chance to nit me with it. I was taking some photos of him throwing it at me, and then all of a sudden he decided to pull some funny faces. This was one of them.

He also managed to catch 2 skinks with one hand, but them lost them when he picked them up. No echidna to be sighted today though. Heaps of butterflies once again.

Weekend almost over once again, only 3 more weeks of work for the year, looking forward to a break this Summer.
